From Crisis to Community: Architecture with a Second Life
Summary:
On this private tour, we will discover buildings given a second chance over time, granting them new life while honoring them as bedrock pieces of Bogotá’s heritage. These transformations deeply shaped the city’s identity and urban landscape. More than just admiring old facades, we will explore how these spaces responded to urban decay and a loss of community identity during Bogotá's rapid growth. Instead of demolishing its past, the city chose to recycle. Along the way, we will step inside select buildings to explore their interiors, and take a relaxing break at a nice local café for a coffee and snack.
